Dr. André Großardt

Main research areas

The junior research group studies gravitational effects in laboratory quantum systems. The focus is on experimental distinguishability between effects of classical spacetime curvature and such effects that assume a quantisation of the gravitational field. In detail, research topics are:

  • Gravitational decoherence effects due to classical and quantised spacetime perturbations
  • Interplay of quantum decoherence and nonlinear evolution of a wave function, e.g. in semiclassical    gravity
  • Different coupling schemes for classical gravity and quantum matter
  • Requirements for experimental tests of gravitational effects in quantum systems
