Zeiss Ph.D. Award in Modern Optics
On the occasion of the 200th birthday of Carl Zeiss in 2016 the ZEISS company together with the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena offered the "ZEISS Ph.D. Award in Modern Optics". The prize is sponsored by ZEISS with €3,000. The aim is to support doctoral projects which are highly relevant for the development and application of modern optics, optoelectronics or photonics. The prize is awarded for the outstanding scientific research and technological implementation of aspects of this field.
