A Fantastic Day of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Jena!
The Faculty of Physics and Astronomy invited guests to the Day of Physics and Astronomy. In 2025, the focus was on current research in gravitational and quantum physics.

On March 6, under bright sunshine, we had the pleasure of welcoming around 500 guests to our faculty for the Day of Physics and Astronomy. We were especially delighted by the great interest shown by pupils from across Thuringia and neighboring federal states. They took the opportunity to learn about gravitational and quantum physics, explore our study programs, and observe the sun directly from the faculty’s rooftop.
Our student representatives were happy to share insights into the excellent study conditions at our faculty.
