Stability of vortices and spiral waves in polariton condensates.
We study the nonequilibrium dynamics of phase bends and vortices in the vicinity modulation instability an incoherently pumped polariton condensate. The effective focusing nonlinearity in the nonequilibrium of a dissipative system naturally leads to spontaneous breaking of the translational symmetry and the formation of phase bends and turbulent states. We note that these spiral waves can exist only in the non-equilibrium of dissipative systems. The radiation emanating from the center of the topological solution displaces the local inhomogeneities of the profile and other topological solutions.
