Stellar astrophysics
Observational astronomy
The stellar astrophysics group of the AIU Jena mainly works on the physics of neutron stars, runaway stars, and substellar objects (brown dwarfs and planets) – we address two general fields of research:
- Traceback of neutron stars and runaway stars (Ralph Neuhäuser, Valeri Hambaryan, Baha Dinçel, et al.)
- Multiplicity of exoplanet host stars (Markus Mugrauer et al.)
On the pages below you will find a more detailed introduction to the research fields as well as important publications by us.
